Daytime Program Speaker
Diver, Underwater Photographer, Shipwreck Enthusiast
In addition to his real job as Vice President of Engineering at The Steelastic Company -- a global machinery manufacturer located in Akron, Ohio, Jack holds over one dozen advanced and technical diving certifications from NAUI and TDI. He has had active involvement in the Maritime Archeology Survey Team (MAST) since 2004, and has participated in over seven Lake Erie shipwreck surveys, including leading efforts on several non-intrusive shipwreck surveys.
Jack has completed over one thousand shipwreck dives worldwide, the majority of which have been conducted on over two hundred Great Lakes' shipwrecks, lying in water depths ranging from 10 feet to 270 feet. He has been photographing shipwrecks for over fifteen years. His photographs have been published on dozens of occasions in newspapers, periodicals, books, and television productions. Several of his shipwreck images are prominently displayed in the National Museum of the Great Lakes located in Toledo, Ohio.
Jack is the founder, webmaster, and sole contributor of www.n2junkie.com, a website dedicated to underwater photography, which he launched in February 2005.
Sacrificing his love of Ohio State football, he has religious attendance of the Bay Area Divers' "Shipwrecks and Scuba" proceedings in excess of 10 years despite the frequent conflicts with The Ohio State vs Michigan Football Game.
